Eileen Chesla

1954-11-10 2023-11-01
Eileen passed away at Abington Hospital after a brief illness. Eileen (Moe to her close friends and family) was a lifelong resident of Upper Dublin.
She graduated from Upper Dublin High School in 1972. She later returned to school and received her nursing degree as a Registered Nurse from Montgomery County Community College. She worked the majority of her career at ACTS Retirement Life Communities and she retired as the Director of Resident Nursing.
She had a giving heart and always made sure others needs were met before her own. Whether dropping off a baked good at your house or a meal in time of need. She loved to showcase her talent for cooking and baking by hosting summer picnics with her famous baked beans (they were legendary with family and friends). In her later years she enjoyed travel, especially cruises, trips to Florida and also a standing lunch date with her cousins for their birthdays.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Malloy (nee Flynn). She is survived by her son, Patrick Michael Eliff of Ambler, her sister Georgina Werner (Dennis) of Raleigh, NC, two nieces, Sarah Werner Konradi (Christoph), Beatrice Werner of Centennial, CO, Jack and Lexi Blas of Willow Grove and her many cousins. She also leaves behind her companion of many years, Joseph Grasso.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA. The Service Service will begin at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mary McCullough officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetics Association https://diabetes.org/ or the charity of your choice.
